1894   Twelve prominent Peoria citizens assembled to establish a club for business professionals to gather for "relaxation and camaraderie." The Club originally occupied a renovated home on S. Jefferson Street.

1904   The Club relocated to 300 S.W. Jefferson Street.  The Club thrived for decades in its quarters on the top three floors of the Commercial National Bank Building (now National City) where members dined, socialized, bowled, and played billiards.

1972   Women were invited to join as members.

1980s   Facing economic hardship, the Club closed its doors.  The three floors were sold back to the bank, and the Board of Governors contracted with Clubs Corporation of America to run the facility.  Nearly one year later, the Club leased the top floor of Commercial National Bank and reopened.

1990s   The Club shared space in the Hotel Pere Marquette and continued its association with Club Corporation of America.

Today   Once again, the Club provides its members with an exclusive location at the Twin Towers Mall, 456 Fulton Street, Suite 186, downtown Peoria. Membership is by completion of the membership application form, with review and approval by the Executive Committee. Individual (both men and women) as well as corporate memberships are available.
